Introducing SOAR - Tropical Butterflies at South Coast Botanic Garden

We are officially announcing our upcoming butterfly exhibit, SOAR – Tropical Butterflies at South Coast Botanic Garden! Opening April 1 and running though July 31, the experience includes an immersive butterfly pavilion, an emergence chamber featuring caterpillars and pupae, and new garden plantings that include our geometric flower beds (which currently feature our tulip superbloom), pollinators and other butterfly-attracting flowers. While the outdoor experience is free for all visitors, the butterfly pavilion will require a separate timed ticket to enter.

Prelude to Pops with the BPO (7 pm Eastern)

What defines Pops? Popular and light classical music, the tunes that make you want to dance, smile, and feel alive. This concert explores works across the generations that have stood the test of time through film, television, commercials, and more. Virtual African-American Festival - Feb 27 at 10am Pacific from Aquarium of the Pacific

On Saturday, February 27, the Aquarium of the Pacific will host its nineteenth annual African-American Festival as a virtual online festival, streaming live from the Aquarium of the Pacific. Anyone can tune in for free from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This virtual event will feature African and African-American music, dance, storytelling, and historical displays. Festival performances will include Mardi Gras second line dancing, hip hop and break dancing, tap and modern dance, soul-pop fusion music,
