Future Artists Teen Acting Camp is a one or two-week summer training program for young actors ages 13-17 who want to strengthen their craft for both stage and screen. Through acting, scene study, improvisation, TV comedy, musical theater, and on-camera performance, students build confidence, creativity, and professional performance skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Led by experienced teaching artists and working entertainment professionals, the intensive takes place at the Los Angeles Community of Acting & Entertainment (LACAE), a professional theater and training center in North Hollywood. Whether your teen is exploring acting for the first time or already has performance experience, instructors challenge every student to grow through hands-on rehearsal, performance, and creative exploration.
Students may enroll in one or both weeks, with each week offering a unique focus and culminating performance event.
Week 1: Craft & Character (August 3 - August 7)
Acting • Scene Study • Improvisation • Ensemble
Students strengthen their acting foundation through scene work, improvisation, character development, storytelling, and ensemble exercises while preparing for a live showcase performance for family and friends.
Week 2: Camera & Comedy (August 10 - August 17)
On-Camera Acting • TV Comedy • Audition Technique • Digital Performance
Students step in front of the camera to explore television, film, and digital storytelling through on-camera acting, TV comedy, audition technique, self-tape practice, and creative performance projects. The week concludes with a family screening featuring student-created scenes and original work.
