The Actors Studio is a non-for-profit theatre workshop founded in 1947 by Elia Kazan, Cheryl Crawford and Robert Lewis. It is a creative home for actors, writers and directors to explore and develop among peers and mentors, producing such notable works as A Streetcar Names Desire, East of Eden, and The Zoo Story. Currently serving as presidents of this unique and legendary institution are Ellen Burstyn, Alec Baldwin & Al Pacino.
